If you’re a victim of a phone that’s dumped its 3.5mm earphone jack, and don’t want to upgrade to a pair of wireless headphones because you’re madly in love with your corded cans, then this could be the accessory for you. Announced overnight, Griffin’s iTrip Clip bluetooth headphone adaptor allows you to use your favourite headphones wirelessly with your phone, without buying new headphones.
Priced at just $34.95, and available at JB HiFi, the iTrip Clip works on Android and iOS, and — once set up — automatically connects when turned on to make for a truly seamless user experience. Like most Bluetooth devices, the iTrip Clip can be used up to 15m away from your phone, and contains a rechargeable battery with about six hours of play time (on par with many wireless headphones) and up to 180 hours standby time. You can charge it easily with the included Micro-USB cable.
With included buttons on the device itself, you can control your phone wirelessly, including playback and volume controls, and you can also activate Google Now or Google Assistant, as well as iOS’ Siri remotely.
