Vodafone Australia have today confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v will be receiving Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” in the form of an over-the-air update from today onwards. While it still isn’t the latest version of Android (4.1 “Jelly Bean”), at least you’ll be finally off the tablet-specific Android 3.1 “Honeycomb”.
The update is a staggered-release, so if the update isn’t ready for you today, it will certainly be available in the coming days. There’s no confirmed size for the update, though, as always, we highly recommend charging the battery to full and connecting to a stable internet connection before downloading/apply the update.
