Samsung is officially launching the Galaxy Note 8 in Australia on September 22nd, but it looks like pre-order customers could get it sooner with customers getting shipping notifications.
The first we saw was from Ben who shared his shipping notification, and users on Whirlpool are also advising that they’re receiving shipping notifications. Ben purchased his Galaxy Note 8 directly from Samsung so it appears the tap has been opened from that end, and possibly from telcos as well.
If you’re still up in the air about pre-ordering you can get a bonus wireless charger as a freebie for pre-ordering before the 22nd of September. At $1,499 the Galaxy Note 8 is up there as one of the most expensive handsets you can purchase in Australia, but it’s available at most of the Australian telcos on 24 month contracts, or lease as well.
The review phone has finally arrived here at Ausdroid and the short and skinny is that the Note 8 is lovely. I’ve not spent much time with the Galaxy S8, but if it’s this well done Samsung is very much on a winner. The phone itself is beautifully solid and the S Pen is again wooing me back to the stylus life. Camera wise it seems Samsung goes from strength to strength here, with clean crisp photos no matter what. The full review will be coming soon but feel free to ask questions.
If you pre-ordered let us know below if you’ve received your shipping notification and chime in with your thoughts when you get it.
