Following the lead set by Vodafone with its double data offer on the new Red mobile plans, Virgin Mobile has decided to make a similar offer in the lead-up to Christmas.
Available for plans taken up between 18 November 2013 and 13 January 2014, Virgin Mobile will offer double data on the $60 and $90 phone plans (and the equivalent BYO plans at $50 and $80 respectively). This takes the $60 phone plan / $50 BYO plan to 3GB of included data, and the $90 phone plan / $80 BYO plan to 6GB included data. What do you think of these offers? Vodafone is certainly offering a bit more data than this in their double data offer (up to 10GB on the $85 BYO plan), but as with all things, there’s more to the decision than just what’s included. You’ll need to consider network coverage where you live, work and have fun, and make the best decision for you.
