Arriving later this year the dongle includes a built-in high-resolution ESS Sabre DAC, an audiophile-grade amp and is ‘crafted from machined titanium for exceptional durability’. The dongle allows Essential phone owners to charge their phone and listen to music through a headphone jack.
The dongle is certified for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) format which is handy as Essential has parntered with music streaming service Tidal for the launch. Anyone purchasing the dongle will receive a three-month subscription to the Tidal Hi-Fi tier – normally worth AUD$23.99 a month.
