Let the rumour mill begin. I have been able to get my hands on a lovely little morsel of info surrounding LG‘s newest Android offering. Now it’s definitely not 100% guaranteed so take it with a bucket of salt but it does seem feasible to a degree.

The rumour? Well LG just might be planning to launch the newest edition of the Optimus range, the Optimus 3D alongside it’s older brother, the Optimus 2X in Oz as early as April. Seeing as thought the handset is yet to be officially announced, something that will happen next week at MWC, it’s hard to imagine the handset coming to  Australia so close to it’s announcement date, but then again the 2X is due around the same time and that was only announced 3 weeks ago.

With only mid level handsets in the market now, such as the Optimus and Optimus One, this could be LG’s time to shine. The Tegra 2 packing Optimus 2X and “Nova” display sporting Optimus Black are primed to place LG at the top of the Android heap, something they haven’t been able to achieve with their current range of unimaginative handsets.  With MWC only a week away, let’s hope we get some information information regarding launch dates and locales.
