We just finish publishing a story on how the Moto E was leaked on Motorola’s Facebook page in Mexico overnight, and the leaks just keep coming! This time, Brazilian retailer Fast Shop has published some details of the upcoming Moto E on its online store today, with images and a full list of confirmed specifications.
We know the Moto E will initially come in three colours; black, turquoise and lemon, and will feature a 4.3″ display with Gorilla Glass. No resolution is specified, but HD seems unlikely in the context of the phone’s low spec aims. A 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon CPU does the heavy lifting, with 1GB RAM, 4GB storage (with Micro SD slot), a 5MP rear camera and a 1980mAh battery. There’s also dual-SIM slots, and a launch spec of Android 4.4 KitKat. Like its older brother the Moto X, the Moto E will feature interchangeable rear covers as well.
The Moto E is scheduled to be announced by Motorola on 13 May in London, and while speculation on pricing is rife, bets are on for a sub-$US 100 asking price. If that’s the target, then Moto certainly haven’t been kidding when they say they’ve been working on a smartphone for everyone.
