Folding phones are becoming more mainstream and OPPO has been part of that from the early stages. The Find N3 is the latest iteration of its range with a lot to offer buyers.
Understandably, with the device folding out to a tablet; the dimensions — in terms of depth — are larger than a “normal” phone. It measures 153 x 73.3 x 11.9 mm closed and 153 x 143.1 x 5.8 mm open.
Obviously, with the folding feature, the Find N3 has internal and external screens, both of which run at 2,800 nits peak and offer HDR10+ with Dolby Vision.
The External screen is a 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED running at 20:9 ratio and 2484 x 1116 resolution and the internal is an impressive 7.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED with LTPO at 9.7:9 ratio and 2440 x 2268 resolution at 423 PPI.
Internally there are some excellent specs driving the device including:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
- Adreno 740
- 512GB Storage and 16GB LPDDR5X Memory
- 4,800mAh battery with SUPERVOOC delivering 80% capacity in 30 minutes, or a full charge in 42 minutes
The cameras have seen an upgrade from the previous generation of OPPO Find N devices too. Now offering a 48MP Wide and 48MP Ultra Wide, 64MP Telephoto, and dual selfie-camera options, one for each screen. The Internal is 20MP, with the external screen selfie camera being 32MP.
Connectivity is all there, however, it may be a bit of a disappointment to some that the Wi-Fi isn’t 6e or perhaps even Wi-Fi 7 given the cost of the device. That’s a choice for you to make personally, but it certainly covers all of the connectivity needs of users with dual sim, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G and Wi-Fi.
I quite like the look of the Find N3, and hopefully will get some hands on time with a review unit in due course.
