Google has today updated the Nexus Factory Images page, adding a new image and an update, both for devices we sadly still can’t purchase here in Australia. The Nexus 6 and Nexus Player have both received updates and if you’re wanting to tinker with either (if you’re lucky enough to have one), then you can now flash them back to stock at the latest update.

The Nexus 6 (Shamu) is first up with Google adding the image for the phone which has apparently begun reaching customers hands in the US. The build on the Nexus 6 is LRX21O, similar to that of the current image for the Nexus 5. The associated binaries have also been added to the Binaries page, so you’d better believe some custom ROMs for the phone will be on the way soon. You can download the Nexus 6 system image below or over on the Nexus Factory Images page.

Of course the other piece of kit we can’t have yet is the Nexus Player, with Google updating the build from LRX21M to LRX21V. You can download the latest System image below :

Still no word from Google when the Nexus 6 or Nexus Player will go on-sale. If you’re through waiting, you can of course hop over to Yatango or Kogan and place a pre-order for the phone with delivery expected in Late November/Early December. Here’s hoping Google Play will go live for order on the Nexus Player and Nexus 6 soon as well.
