Following a couple of outings in Chicago on the wrists of suspected Moto employees last week, the now much leaked Moto 360 2015 has once again been spotted in the wild in a couple of clear shots for your viewing pleasure.
The two shots show off both the Moto 360L – the suspected name for the larger model, and Moto 360s – you guessed it a smaller model – as well as a first-gen Moto 360 for size comparison with the 360S.
Both shots are congruous with previous leaks and photos of next generation of what was arguably the poster child of the first gen Android Wear family. We are still seeing the “flat tyre” display that allows Motorola to reduce the size of their bezels and incorporate a light sensor, the crown/ button has moved to the ‘2 o’clock position’ and the watch bands now connect to a more traditional mounting mechanism instead of the concealed mounting method used last year that resulted in a large number of cracked backs.
From what we’ve managed to determine thus far the Moto 360 2015 should have:
- WiFi B/G/N on the 2.4GHz band
- Bluetooth 3.0 with EDR + Bluetooth 4.0 LE
- Wireless inductive charging – using the Qi standard once again
- Leather, rubber and Metal wristbands
- Battery capacity, 270mAh, in the s and 375mAh in the L
With the device rumored to launch at IFA 2015 in Berlin next week we won’t have long to find out if all of this is true. Ausdroid will be live on the show floor to bring you all the latest from the show.
