This morning Huawei launched their newest phone which they describe as their ‘most stylish and advanced smartphone yet’ the Huawei Vision. Whilst it`s not the high end of the market it certainly is a nice looking phone, very solid Aluminium unibody design, it feels nice to have a phone with metal on it again.
The Gingerbread packing Unibody phone will be available exclusively through Allphones for $279 outright or on an Optus $19 cap. The Vision reminds me very much of a Nexus One in both design and specs. Looks like Huawei has added a 3D skin over the top to offer a differentiating feature, they`ve described it as a 3D Carousel UI, it looked ok from the demonstration they gave but as one of the things I liked about Huawei was that they did little or nothing to their UI, i`ll want a closer look.
So what is this thing packing :
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- Aluminium alloy unibody
- 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor
- 480 x 800, 3.7 inch curve design touch screen @ 252 ppi
- 512 MB RAM, 2GB ROM
- 1 GB storage with MicroSD Card slot
- 5 Mp Camera with LED flash, 720p video recording and playback
- Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
- G-sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor
- FM Radio
- 118×59.9×9.9mm @ 121grams
All in all it looks like another solid lower end phone from Huawei, I picked one up from the launch so Ausdroid will be having a good look at the phone and i`ll let you know what I think fairly soon.
