No word yet on wether this phone will be available on a contract from any of the carriers at this stage but we will let you know as soon as we hear anything. Announced back at CES in January Huawei’s latest offering is one of the thinnest smart phones on the market measuring just 7.69mm thick.

Looks like Huawei have loaded some apps on as well such as Riptide GP, PowerAmp, Camera Zoom FX and MX Player, the launcher still appears to be stock with no sign of the Emotion UI that was said to be launching, but I’m going to have to wait till I get one in my hands to be able to tell if this is the case or not.

The phone looks good, very good, I was very impressed with the design of the Huawei Vision and in regards to specifications the Huawei brand seems to be ramping up from their lower end phones towards something quite special in the Ascend D Quad later this year, hopefully we’ll be able to get our hands on one of these to take for a test run but in the meantime if you`re interested, check out the Ascend P1 at DSE.
