The HTC One Max is HTC’s biggest non-secret at this stage with so many leaks appearing about the device and now carrier China Mobile has leaked the specs on Chinese social media site Weibo.

Listing the device as the HTC 8088, it could of course be an Asian variant, but spec wise, it matches up with previously rumoured specs. The China Mobile listing says it will come with a 5.9″ FUll HD 1920×1080 resolution display, 1.7GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 5MP Ultra-Pixel camera, 16GB on-board storage, WiFi, Bluetooth and all powered by a 3,300mAh battery.

The type of CPU is still undetermined, with some saying it will be the Snapdragon S4 Pro, while others a Snapdragon 600. With what is sure to be billed as a semi-successor to their current flagship device the HTC One, it would be surprising to have the phone launch with a slightly older – albeit fully effective – Snapdragon S4 Pro.

Software wise the HTC One will be running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but as to which version of Sense the One Max will be released with is unknown. The recently leaked HTC Zara was said to be coming with Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5 overlaid but this could not be the case with the HTC One Max.

As seen in the title shot, there have also been some pretty pictures of the device leaked online – no test cases for HTC obviously – which show off the larger HTC One design still sporting the square blank that many consider to be where a fingerprint scanner would be placed. Interestingly the back of the device also shows some raised areas that appear to be pogo pins, indicating a dock could be on the cards as well.

The HTC One Max is said to be launching in October with a fairly hefty US$800 price tag. We look forward to seeing exactly what HTC can do in the Phablet range and will let you know as soon as HTC announce something officially.
