Expansys Australia has some pretty cheap prices on officially refurbished LG Nexus 4 phones at the moment. You can choose from the 8GB or 16 GB models and they also come with a free bumper case.
The 8GB version costs $139, while the 16GB version costs $154. Both phones incur shipping costs of $18 with DHL or $22 shipping with Toll. Both phones come with a free bumper case, but you’re after a panda Nexus (the white model), you’re out of luck – it’s all black.
Expansys says the phones have been factory refurbished & quality checked, come in a new sealed box, are accompanied by a 3 month full warranty and carry something called the Nexus Refurbished Guarantee, which we’ve not seen mentioned elsewhere before.
If you don’t remember the Nexus 4 (shame on you!), it sports a 4.7-inch 720p IPS screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM and a 2100mAh battery. In my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful devices ever made, and it really paved the way for today’s Nexus line. Unlike other devices of its time, many of the team’s Nexus 4 units have aged gracefully, still performing well today – mine’s still punching along beautifully after 2 years, and I just can’t let her go.
In the market for a phone with a guaranteed update to Android Lollipop but can’t afford the Nexus 6 (or even a Nexus 5 for that matter)? This refurbished Nexus 4 might be just what you’re looking for.
