With the rumoured launch of Android 7.0 Nougat, and of course the release of new Nexus hardware to go along with it, it appears the price reductions on last years Nexus models have begun. First off the block is the Nexus 5X, which JB Hi-Fi are reducing by $200 this week dropping the 32GB Black coloured model down to just $447.
The deal is via their ‘Weekly Instant Deal’ but does mean you need to sign up for their instant deals promotion. The promotion sends you through weekly deals to take part of, but if you’re not into that you can always sign up and then unsubscribe once you get your voucher. The hardware spec list for the Nexus 5X looks good if you’re wanting to get one.

Chris didn’t have the greatest experience with the Nexus 5X when he reviewed it soon after launch last year, a view that a number of us shared here at Ausdroid after forking out our own money to buy one. But, the phone will get Android 7.0 when it’s launched (possibly this month) and, well, it’s a Nexus, so if you’re in the market for a new phone this isn’t a bad deal especially if you like to get up to date software.
