Android 7 Nougat
After clearing the Nougat update for the Nexus 6P back in August, Vodafone Australia has advised that the rollout has been halted.

The update was initially referred back to Hauwei after an issue was discovered in the update, but was approved for rollout on August 25th. The details on the halted update aren’t given but Vodafone has advised that they are working with Huawei on the issue, saying:

Rollout delayed
An issue is affecting rollout of this software update and we are working with Huawei to resolve ASAP. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will keep you posted as soon as we have an update.

Other Australian carriers Optus and Virgin Mobile who both offered the Nexus 6P as well haven’t updated their software update pages as yet. Optus has advised the status of the Android 7.0 update as ‘New Version 7.0 Nougat – Completed’, while Virgin Mobile, a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus, lists the status of their update as ‘Testing Finished’.

We’ve reached out to Vodafone, Optus and Virgin Mobile for more information on the update to see if they have anything further to add.
