Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL have passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US, but they’ve now also passed through the Global Certification Forum (GCF) revealing two additional model numbers and LTE bands for the international models.
There are four models for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL (2 each), with the US versions labelled the G-G-2PW2100 (Pixel) and G-2PW4100 (Pixel XL). The newer International model numbers are the G-2PW2200 (Pixel) and G-2PW420 Pixel XL. The exciting thing for us here outside the US is that these new filings show the LTE band information for both phones that is pertinent to our networks.
The devices are both LTE CAT 11 with identical FDD/TDD LTE Bands. So far only Telstra has announced support for Cat 11 LTE on their networks here in Australia, advising they can support download speeds up to 600mbps.
The networks offer the usual Band 3 LTE, but also supports Band 5 (850MHz) for Vodafone customers and Band 28 for Optus/Telstra users. Optus users also have support for Band 40 for their 4G Plus network.

The major difference between the international and US versions appears to be the lack of support on the TDD LTE bands, with only Band 41 offered on the US models.
Of course the phones also support 3G Bands III,V and VIII, more commonly known by theire 850MHz, 900MHz and 2100MHz frequencies.
The phones are passed, but still haven’t been announced as yet with that announcement date rumoured to be coming on the 4th of October. We should see the phones on-sale here in Australia on October 20th according to our information. From the looks of things, we’ll have a heck of a network device in both phones, now if we could just get our hands on them.
