The Moto Z, Lenovo/Motorola’s flagship of 2016 is undoubtedly a fantastic phone but it is a high end device which not everyone wants nor needs. For those who feel this way Motorola are prepping a mid-range device to be announced very soon, the Moto M.

A leak from the Chinese PC Online website has shown the poster for the upcoming Lenovo Autumn conference in China on November the 8th. The poster displays two phones, the P2 and what Google translate calls the “endurance God Machine”, the Moto M.

Leaks have shown that the Moto M retains the Moto Z shape but has mid-range specs that include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The display is a 5.5in 1080P display It will come in two varieties, a 4GB RAM, 64 onboard stage and a 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage variety as well as gold, silver and grey colours. There is apparently a 5MP front facing camera and a 13MP rear facing camera. There will be a microSD slot with support up to 128GB. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and have a massive 5100mAh battery — Endurance God Machine may well be right. Lenovo are saying that the standby time of the Moto M will be the longest ever for a smartphone.

At this stage it is unknown whether this will reach Australian shores but we can only hope so as mid-range devices is all a lot of people need. Can you see yourself purchasing this?
