With the Moto press event at MWC just over a week away Lenovo almost made it without pretty much their entire device leaking out. Unfortunately, for them, a retail partner jumped the gun and now we know pretty much all there is to know, from a specs perspective anyway. Say hello to the metal design Moto G5 and G5 Plus.
Once again the lower tiered G5 feels more like a Moto E replacement than a spiritual successor to the G1, G2 or G3. While the specs aren’t bad by any means the anything less than an $100 AUD price difference between the 2 and I just see no reason not to get the G5 Plus.
The G5 features a 5″ FHD (1920×1080) resolution display, Snapdragon 430, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 2800 mAh battery, in comparison the G5 Plus features a 5.2″ FHD (1920×1080) resolution display, Snapdragon 625, 2GB RAM 64GB storage and a 3000 mAh battery, along with NFC. The inclusion of NFC along with double the storage, larger battery and a far more capable processor make the G5 Plus the clear choice in my mind.
