Nothing has announced the launch of Phone (3), its first true flagship smartphone for the company which is headed by Carl Pei and his team based in London.
Nothing has stated that the Phone (3) is an evolution of Nothing’s iconic design and reimagines smartphone interaction with the new Glyph Matrix, a bold geometric aesthetic, premium materials, and a significant performance boost over its previous generation of smartphone which have been mainly aimed at the mid tier.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing has stated that:
“Tech has become boring; every phone looks the same, feels the same, does the same,”
“That’s why we took our time. After two years of focused development, Phone (3) is our answer: a flagship built to make tech feel personal again. To spark creativity, reflect identity, and give people more control over how they connect and create. At Nothing, we don’t follow trends, we build with intention, and we build with our community.”
The Nothing Phone (3) comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED flexible LTPS display (1260 x 2800 460 ppi) that is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm SM8735 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and an Adreno 825 GPU under the hood. There are two variations in terms of RAM and storage. There is a 12GB RAM version that comes with 256GB onboard storage whilst the other is a 16GB RAM and 513 onboard storage options.
The Phone (3) features a pro-grade camera system built to help creators capture their world anytime, anywhere thanks to its triple rear camera set up which is believed to be a 50MP wide lens, 50MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP Ultrawide lens, although the exact specifics have not been given in the press release.
The one main selling points of the Nothing Phoneś have been its Glyph Matrix which the company has completely redesigned and reimagined with the Glyph now being a round screen on the back that enables users to reduce screen time and streamline how users receive key information alongside now having Glyph Toys, a playful extension of Glyph Matrix, bring quick tools and micro-games to the back of the phone and that now includes a Glyph Mirror, Digital Clock, Stopwatch, Battery Indicator, and Solar Clock, plus games like Spin the Bottle, all accessible and controlled through a dedicated button on the rear.
The Phone (3) runs Nothing OS 3.5 based off Android 15 and has been built with the inclusion of AI to the OS, introducing key features that mark the next step on this journey:
- Essential Search – A universal smart search bar you access with a swipe up from the homescreen. Search across contacts, photos, files – and get instant answers too, from weather to calendar to local spots.
- Flip to Record – Long press Essential Key and turn your phone face down to transcribe and summarise meetings.
- Essential Space – A calm, central place for your ideas, notes, and content, all organised by AI. It’s like a second brain, and already, 1 in 5 people use it weekly.
Nothing has stated that the Phone (3) will get Android 16 and OS 4.0 in the third quarter of 2025 with the Pheon (3) guaranteed at least 5 years of major Android updates and 7 years of security updates.
In terms of battery life, the Phone (3) will come with Nothing´s high-density 5150mAh silicon-carbon cell battery that it states can easily last a full day. The Phone (3) will also support 65W fast wired charging which it says can fully charge the phone up in just 54 minutes alongside supporting 15W wireless charging.
