It’s finally happening! The Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) is getting a taste of Jelly Bean, Android 4.1.2.

Samsung is starting to push out the Jelly Bean update to its best selling Android device of 2011. With so many Galaxy S II users still loving their device, it’s no wonder Samsung are continuing to push out updates like this.

Jelly Bean is the biggest update yet for the Galaxy S II, as the ICS update really didn’t add any UI changes from its Gingerbread start. However, Jelly Bean will bring the Nature UX Interface with it, which is the same that’s being used on the Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update. This will bring some fantastic changes to the device, such as:-

  • Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
  • Flil User Interface Revamp (Same UI as of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II)
  • TouchWiz Nature UX
  • Samsung’s S Cloud services
  • Improved Camera features
  • New Lockscreen With Many Customization Options
  • New Features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play
  • New Widgets (From Galaxy S III)
  • 2 Home screen modes
  • New Notification bar With More Notification Toggles
  • Google Now
