HTC is yet to formally announce the One Max which means the leaks just keep on coming. This time the leak is from ePrice, and it’s a photo of the rear of the One Max alongside the One and One Mini. The interesting thing? That black square below the camera which is rumoured to be a fingerprint scanner.
A potential use-case for this could be unlocking the phone using your fingerprint on the back instead of reaching up to the top to hit that badly-positioned power button on such a large device.
Other specifications include a 5.9-inch 1920×1080 Full HD display, Snapdragon 800 CPU, an UltraPixel camera of an unknown UltraPixel count, and, if rumours are correct, an SD card slot.
So it looks like Sony, Samsung, and now HTC will all have a device in the phablet/tweener market. Sony with the Xperia Z Ultra; Samsung with the upcoming Note III; and now HTC with the One Max once it is formally announced. No date of pricing is currently known.
