After rolling out the latest Beta to Pixel, Nexus Player and Nexus 5X devices a mere few weeks ago, Nexus 6P owners are today receiving a long awaited prompt to download Android 7.1.2 (NPG05F).

The Android 7.1.2 Beta, which is almost 1300MB in size brings along a number of fixes, though not the Fingerprint Gestures from Pixel devices that showed up in the update for the Nexus 5X.

When Google launched the Beta for 7.1.2, they described the update as ‘an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements’, the update as you’d expect also included a number of bugfixes and optimisations as well as a small number of enhancements for carriers and users.

If you’re a Nexus 6P owner and you’d like to try out the Android 7.1.2 Beta you can sign in to your account at the Google Beta dashboard and enroll your device. The prompt to download the latest Beta should show up quite quickly. We’re downloading it now, and if you find any new features let us know.
