After announcing their intent to make Messenger a platform at their recent F8 conference, Facebook has launched four plug in apps for its messenger service, Shout! for Messenger, Selfied for Messenger, Sound Clips for Messenger and Strobe for Messenger.
The apps, which were launched on Google Play back on the 25 March, all basically utilise your devices camera (either front or rear camera, depening on which you wish to use) for different purposes. For example:
Shout! for Messenger – allows you to add text to your photos and watch them replay as a sentence;
Strobe for Messenger – allows you to flash through in different ways to create your own GIF and then send it to your friends with Messenger;
Selfied for Messenger – allows you to create and send selfies for every mood to show exactly how you’re feeling; and
Sound Clips for Messenger – allows you to Send pre-recorded sounds and phrases to make your messages come to life.
Of course, to utilise these apps you will need to have Facebook Messenger installed. The reviews for each app have been varied, with most stating some issues with bugs still found within the apps. That said if you would like to try out any of these apps, you can click the links below to download them from Google Play directly.
