We asked you a little over a month and a half ago, whether Notion Ink’s ‘Adam’ would be a sufficient Android alternative to the iPad. We then received an overwhelming response, so we got a little bit of a hint that you’d all like to be kept in the loop about it as well as other Android Tablets. In keeping with that, we have some Tablet news! Hit the break to get into it.
Now, the SMH had a bit of a write up on their site today about upcoming Windows Tablets and such, but they also included some cool news about Android Tablets!
“We anticipate a number of Android tablets and we will see many and lesser-known brands built on the Android platform because it is an open source platform and can be used on any sort of hardware.” – Foad Fadaghi, research director at Telsyte.
It then follows with some even better news. The Notion Ink ‘Adam’ will be hitting stores (namely MobiCity, being an official supplier) in the coming months. No prices have been released yet.
For those unsure of the Adam packs the following:
- Nvidia Tegra2 CPU (1GHz – Dual Core)
- 10″ capacitive display (Pixel Qi)
- Camera
- USB
- 16/32GB Memory
- 802.11b/g WiFi
- 3G (HSPA+)
- HDMI
- Stereo Speakers
- Much, much more..
So, anybody after one of these for Christmas? I certainly know I’m excited about it. I also hope to be able to review one of these bad boys on release.
