Optus just said yesterday that Android 2.2 was good to go for their Galaxy S devices, but to be honest I think it was just customer support trying to say the right things to keep customers happy. Now Optus are saying they “have” Android 2.2 for the Galaxy S in their hands but they have to “test it” which could possibly take them into the middle of November before it’s sent out to users via Kies, or OTA or something like that. So if you’ve been one of the hundreds of users constantly bashing Kies to get your update but got nothing in return, you can rest easy knowing your device is fine and that the update isn’t yet available, you can just be angry at Optus for them saying it was.
