Just like Eclair made the jump from 2.0 to 2.1, Gingerbread just might be making a jump from 2.3 to 2.4 with the news of a prototype Sony Ericsson Xperia arc running Android 2.4. The site the image first appeared on, Tweakers.net, says that it is an incremental build with extra features and animations that Google didn’t get to implement in 2.3. There’s no word on what these extras are exactly, but I’m thinking that a recently leaked out new-look Music App and the Demo Videos in Android Market listings just might have something to do with it.
