According to the folk over at Engadget, Samsung have said that they will be announcing the next generation Galaxy S device as Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. Samsung noted that it will run Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”, have the new Super AMOLED Plus display technology and be powered by a dual-core CPU, but didn’t mention whether it would be Tegra 2 (they have heaps on order) or their own Orion CPU. We’re thinking it might look a little like the Inspire 4G announced for AT&T in the States.

In addition to the next-gen Galaxy S, Samsung also mentioned they will go into more detail about their plans for future Galaxy Tabs. Things they might mention: 7″ Super AMOLED displays, 10″ Galaxy Tabs and of course, dual-core CPUs and Android 3.0 “Honeycomb”. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date of any rumours that leak out prior to official announcements from Samsung.
