In Vodafone’s latest device software wrap up update they mention that the Samsung Galaxy S which is currently running on Android 2.2 “Froyo” will be updated to Android 2.3.3 “Gingerbread” in September.

This isn’t the first time that Vodafone and Samsung have pushed out the Android 2.3.3 update for the Galaxy S. It was first released for a few hours back in early July, but was quickly pulled by Samsung due to an internal issue with the company.

There’s no confirmed date for the rollout, but be sure to know we’ll let you know as soon as we know that Vodafone know the date from Samsung.. or something.
