If you’re not aware of the Motorola RAZR, you soon will be. This device is expected to be announced by Motorola and Optus this Thursday (we’ll be there to cover it!), however, MobiCity already have it up for preorder at a price of $699 — far less than the $829 for the Galaxy Nexus.
The RAZR is only 7.1mm thin at the thinnest point making it the thinnest Android device to date (I think). There’s also a 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD (960×540) Display, 16GB in-built storage, 8MP Camera w/ 1080p Video Recording and HDMI-out. Pretty impressive I must say.
It’s unclear whether the RAZR MobiCity are selling is the Verizon branded version (pictured above) that will have the locked bootloader. As Irwin pointed out in his exclusive, only carrier unbranded devices will have Motorola’s new unlocked bootloader.
Motorola have confirmed that the RAZR will receive Ice Cream Sandwich — Android 4.0 — in the early part of 2012, so that’s always a bonus. So I my question to you, dear readers, is would you rather this device or the Galaxy Nexus?
