Optus has rolled out their Android 2.3 update for the Galaxy Tab; Telstra has rolled out their Android 2.3 update for the Galaxy Tab; Vodafone have delayed their Android 2.3 update for the Galaxy Tab because of an incorrect APN that was detected during carrier testing.

Following testing of the Gingerbread software update, we have identified an incorrect configuration with regards to the APN settings. We are currently working through this and have asked Samsung for an updated build. Once we have received the updated build, full testing will then need to take place.

We first heard that all the carriers began testing Gingerbread for the Galaxy Tab back in April, so it has taken quite a long time for these updates to come to fruition. It seems you’re just going to have to hold out for a little while longer, Vodafone customers.
