According to the Google Nexus twitter feed pre-orders for the Nexus 7 tablets have begun shipping, the rhyming tweet dropped last night. They haven’t updated the Google Play entry for the Nexus 7 but this tweet is the next step and now all we need are emails from Google with Tracking numbers.

As I pre-ordered whilst the keynote was happening I was also expecting to see my shipping confirmation email from Google in my mail box this morning, however I have received nothing as yet. My Google Wallet page remains static. Let us know in the comments when you placed your order, if you’ve been charged and most importantly if you’ve received a shipping notification.

Just checked the Google Support page it has a statement on device pre-orders:
When will my preorder ship?
We’re now shipping Nexus 7 preorders. The first wave of orders are going out today and all additional preorders are scheduled to ship within the next few days. :
Once your order has shipped you’ll receive a confirmation email and tracking number. Though our agents are unable to provide a specific delivery date for individual preorders, please rest assured that our shipping team is working to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible.
