Remember the Samsung GT-i9250? Y’know, the Galaxy Nexus? Well its possible successor, the GT-i9260, has been floating around the blogosphere for almost a month now, but for the first time we have something that may have come from the device: a photo. It might not be much, but it could be the start of the rumour-force behind the Nexus series.

The photo — spotted by GSM Arena — is scaled down, so we can’t confirm if the camera will be 8MP or not, however, GSM Arena believes the camera will be similar to that of the Galaxy S II — at least that’s far better than the Galaxy Nexus’ camera.

Specs for the GT-i9260 were reported by SamMobile a month ago, and read as the following:

  • 1.5GHz Dual-Core Cortex-A9 CPU
  • 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD Display
  • 8MP / 1.9MP Cameras
  • 16GB Storage

They appear to be super similar to the Galaxy Nexus, leading us to believe this device is only a slight upgrade over it. Perhaps Google and Samsung will launch this as low-cost alternative to a more cutting-edge Nexus device come October? Let’s hope so.
