With the official launch of the Asus Padfone 2 going ahead in Milan tonight, the phone/tablet combo unit has been officially unveiled in Taipei by Asus CEO Jerry Shen. As we saw earlier in the leaked video the newer combo has a new docking system which does away with the cassette deck style interface and the phone has a slightly larger screen among other improved specifications.

Engadget did mention that the Australian market was definitely mentioned so this one is definitely inbound.
