Hot on the heels of the launch of their other high end smartphone the Ascend P6, Huawei has today announced that their Category 4 LTE packing Ascend P2 smartphone will be available at the end of the month on the Telstra 4G network.
The Ascend P2, is powered by the K3V2 CPU that Huawei developed in-house and is running Android 4.1.2 with the Huawei Emotion UI overlaid on top. It features 32GB of Storage but unfortunately no expandable memory.

Paired with the Telstra 4G network, the Category 4 LTE Radio in the Ascend P2 is capable of offering a theoretical 150Mbps download speed in some markets – Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane to start with but more coming soon. Huawei are the only company offering a Cat 4 device in Australia at this stage, so if you need the fastest Smartphone available in Australia at the moment, this is the one to get.

Available from July 30th, the Ascend P2 is coming, you will be able to purchase them in-store on July 30th or you can pre-order it on-line. The Ascend P2 will be available for $0 on the $60 Every Day ConnectTM plan. As a bonus for pre-ordering online before July 30th, you’ll receive a 10″ Huawei MediaPad Tablet valued at $349. The Ascend P2 will be available for outright purchase from Telstra stores for $504.
