If the 1280×800 or 1280×720 resolution of previous Galaxy Note devices from Samsung have been disappointing to you so far then things are set to get a whole lot better. According to a new tweet from @EvLeaks new 10″ and 12.2″ tablets with a 2560×1600 resolution are on their way and if the inclusion of S-Pen is any indicator they’ll be in the Galaxy Note line.

The model numbers line up with User Agent Profiles(UAProf) on the Samsung Mobile site for the SM-P600(10″) and the SM-P900(12.2″) show that both devices will be running Android 4.2 and being Samsung devices this will be with Touchwiz overlaid with S-Pen specific enhancements.
With the tablets running an Exynos 5 Octa (hopefully the newly announced 5420 with Mali-T628 GPU)- SM-P900 – and the Snapdragon 800 with Adreno 330 GPU – SM-P600 – there is going to be no shortage of computing power behind the devices.
While 10″ is a fairly well accepted tablet size, the 12.2″ screen size may put some users off, however with a 2560×1600 resolution and S-Pen support, the tablet could possibly do fairly well within graphic design circles which could utilise the high resolution tablets and screen real-estate to great effect.
They’re not for everyone at those sizes, but it will be interesting to see where these tablets will be priced in the Samsung range, a release for the devices has not been set but we could see something as early as the IFA conference in Germany but nothing is set in stone.
Would you purchase a high resolution Samsung tablet with S-Pen support? What would be your use case for it?
