Nexus 7 - hero - press site
We’ve been inundated with requests for information on the Australian launch of the Nexus 7(2013). Asus themselves have referred all enquiries regarding the Nexus 7 to Google, and Google – as usual – has remained silent on the matter.

We’ve received confirmation from both a source within Asus and various Australian Retailers and Asus Re-Sellers, who have been busily checking since the announcement, that stock of the tablet will be available in early September.

While no details on which of the three models – 16/32GB Wifi & 32Gb LTE – will be available at launch, nor any pricing at this stage, but they are uniform in their advice that the Nexus 7 (2013) will be in stores in Early September.

We’ve yet again sought but not received ‘official’ confirmation from Asus, as well as from Google and will update as soon as we have anything further from either company in regards to launch details for the Nexus 7.

With the US launch well under way, going live on Friday – Saturday morning our time – both online and at retailers, there seems to be already stock supply issues with many retail outlets reporting no stock availability and giving no eta’s for resupply at this time. It would appear that Google are hoping to avoid the stock shortage issues that occurred last year in Australia where stock was selling out almost immediately at most locations.
