HP Slatebook x2 10

Ausdroid reader Benedict wrote to let us know that HP‘s Slatebook X2 hybrid tablet has gone on sale in Perth. Benedict spotted the device on sale over the weekend at JB Hifi.

There’s two models of the Slatebook doing the rounds in Australian stores – a 16 GB version, carrying an RRP of $649 and a 64 GB version that’s exclusive to JB Hifi with an RRP of $749.

It seems that JB HiFi has been offering the 64 GB model on sale for $697. The device isn’t listed on their website, so you might want to visit your local store to see it in person.

Dick Smith Electronics also has the 16 GB model listed on their website, currently on sale for $509. Dick Smith says this is 15% off, which makes their normal price around $599.

The Slatebook X2 is HP’s first Android hybrid convertible Android tablet, offering the following specs:

  • 10.1″ diagonal WUXGA LED-backlit IPS Touchscreen (1920 x 1200)
  • NVIDIA Tegra 4
  • 2 GB RAM (1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM)
  • Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n
  • Bluetooth
  • Full HD rear camera (f2.0, 2.0MP, 1080p, fixed focus, low light enhancement)
  • HP TrueVision front-facing camera (f2.0, 720p, fixed focus, low light enhancement)
  • Dual Speakers
  • Android 4.2

We’re hoping to get our hands on a Slatebook X2 for review soon.
