Just a couple of months ago Samsung announced that it would revamp the Galaxy Note 10.1 line with a 2014 edition, and it seems that the time is now upon us.
Announcing the Australian availability and pricing for the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), Arno Lenior, Marketing Director, Samsung Electronics Australia said:

Available in both the Sydney and Melbourne Samsung Experience Stores from November 25, 2013, you can purchase your own Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) in two configurations:
- Wi-Fi only for $649
- Wi-Fi and 4G for $799
Each will also be available in two colour options as well, Jet Black and CLassic White. Each comes with 16GB internal memory and expansion via Micro SD.

Amazing Viewing Experience, Enhanced Multitasking
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) delivers a 2,560 x 1600 resolution display. Combined with an intuitive user interface format, users can interact with highly detailed content using a range of software features.
With Multi Window functionality, users can run multiple windows of selected applications on the device screen at one time.Multi Window works by using the device’s S Pen to drag and drop content between windows. The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) user interface can also display content in a magazine style format that can allow users to organise their favourite applications and content in an easy-to-use dashboard. Whether watching videos, reading e-books, or using the S Pen to draw and write, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) aims to provide an immersive and interactive media experience.
Design characteristics, like a slim form and textured leather-like back cover that includes stitched borders, have been engineered to inspire a sense of elegance and sophistication.
Improved S Pen and S Note Functionality
The updated S Pen included with the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has superb responsiveness when using the device as compared to previous GALAXY Note 10.1 devices. The new S Pen and its enhanced features are built to produce versatile and creative input capabilities when writing and drawing on the device display.
Showcased in the recently released GALAXY Note 3, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also includes exciting S Pen features such as Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write and S Finder that helps make accessing and sharing information easy. The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (4G variant only) is also available as a compatible device to Samsung’s latest piece of wearable technology, GALAXY Gear6. When combined with the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) (4G variant only), GALAXY Gear can allow users to live in the moment while staying connected via the internet.
GALAXY Gear, worn on the user’s wrist, offers the ability to receive notifications of incoming emails and alerts, or take photos and short videos straight from the Gear without having to take the Note out of their bag.
Work-Life Balance with Samsung Knox
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) comes with pre-installed privacy and security protection provided by Samsung KNOX. Users can activate Samsung KNOX which allows them to run and store security-sensitive applications and data inside a protected environment called “container”. The security inside the container helps protect against potential malware and phishing attacks as well as hacking attempts on physical devices when devices are stolen or lost.
