If you’re sick of seeing Siri integration in cars like the newest Holden Commodore or Honda Accord, then you may just want to consider looking at an Audi the next time you look at upgrading the family truckster.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Google and Audi are set to announce a partnership at CES in just over a week, which will see the car manufacturer partner up with Google as well as with chip manufacturers like Nvidia to offer Android based in-car entertainment systems. The in-car entertainment system would allow passengers and drivers to access music, navigation, apps and services like Google Maps, arguably one of the best mapping and navigation services in the world.
Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of AUDI AG will be delivering the Tech Titans key note address at CES 2014, where he will be discussing amongst other things ‘infotainment based upon comprehensive connectivity technologies’ from 8:30pm on Monday, January 6 in The Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea Theater in Las Vegas before heading to the Audi Night at CES also at the Chelsea afterwards. It’s highly likely that this announcement could come at either event.
