Moto E
Motorola is currently announcing their newest handset the Motorola Moto E in India. But, the phone has been launched in India, and while the handset isn’t much in terms of specs, it’s priced competitively, launching at 6,999INR which is approximately AUD$125.

The phone will be on-sale in India from midnight tonight through Flipkart. There has been no further retailers announced at this stage, but we are contacting Motorola Australia for further information on global availability.

The specs on the device include a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) resolution display which includes Gorilla Glass 3 on the front for protection. Behind the screen you’ll find a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB RAM, there’s 4 GB of on-board storage, but a microSD card slot will allow you to expand storage to 32 GB. The phone comes with a 5 MP rear-camera but no front-facing camera and Powering the battery is a 1980 mAh Li-Ion battery, which Motorola claim will last all day.

There’s a host of wireless options on the Moto E including an FM radio, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone has no LTE (3G only) and has a dual-SIM slot.

Software wise, you’ll find the same bare-bones Android 4.4 software load from their previous iterations and Motorola is promising timely updates for their phones.

Motorola has launched a promo video for the Moto E which shows off the phones ‘Built to last’ credentials which includes a water-resistant splash guard.

Like all the Moto products, the Motorla Moto E will have Shells available to customise the look of your phone.
