Mobicity has just launched their pre-orders for the phone which was launched by LG yesterday morning. The phone will launch here in Australia on all three major carriers, as well as outright from retailers in August, but at this stage, LG Australia has only confirmed that the ‘Metallic Black’ coloured phone will be available.

Mobicity are taking pre-orders for the phone in three colours – Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold – but so far there’s no mention of the Moon Violet or Burgundy Red variants. The phone will set you back $799.95 + shipping – which is available startingvfrom $9.95, for the 16GB model with 2GB of RAM. The LG G3 from Mobicity will not be compliant with the Optus 4G+ network (2300MHz) but will work on the 1800MHz LTE network operated by Telstra, Vodafone and Optus in the majority of Australia.

At this time, Mobicity has no ETA for the phone, but have a release date listed on the site of the third of July. Mobicity should have more information on shipping dates as the launch approaches.

If you’re really keen to get an LG G3 before the official Australian launch date, and in a colour other than Black, then head over to the Mobicity Website and place a pre-order for the phone.

Update:
Mobicity have actually arranged a nice deal for Ausdroid readers, if you head on over and pre-order the LG G3, you’ll receive free shipping. Simply enter the code ‘AUSDG3’ and your shipping charge will be waived, you can’t complain about that.
