The Samsung Galaxy F or Prime rumours have heated up again overnight with PhoneArena posting the above picture of what they’ve been tipped is the Galaxy F posing next to a now downmarket looking Galaxy S5.
The phone looks to be physically about the same size as the current Galaxy flagship, but the rumoured specs of the Galaxy F could see it knock the Galaxy S series off the premium pedestal. The phone is rumoured to be launching later this year, possibly in September, with a 5.3″, QHD 2560×1440 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 16MP rear camera with built-in Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
With that 5.3″ QHD screen it’s a slightly larger panel than the Galaxy S5, so it appears that Samsung has trimmed the bezels on the chasis to the bone. The phone has a metal back to add to the more premium feel of the phone and it’s really looking like Samsung is pulling out all the stops with the Galaxy F.
It’s a way off in the future yet, but with that rumoured September launch date, it could go live with the Galaxy Note 4, which has traditionally been launched at the IFA trade show in Germany. Stay tuned, we’ll find out in the coming months.
