Qimini, the creators of the Pocket wireless charger, are taking it to the next level with the introduction of Deuce, a wireless charger with a built-in 2,000 mAh battery for use in places where USB ports aren’t readily available.

The project is now available for backing via Kickstarter, promising a thin and light powerbank with a Qi inductive charging coil to charge compatible devices on the go. Qimini claims that Deuce’s 2000 mAh battery will be able to supply an additional 50% battery life to a Nexus 5, or 45% to a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Deuce is just 14mm thick and weighs in at only 110g, and will be available in 4 colours (black, white, ‘dragon fruit’ red and emerald green) – provided the project achieves their Kickstarter goal of $40,000. If all goes according to plain, Deuce should ship in February 2015 – Qimini points out that they’ve got some experience in delivering products in this way, so we’ve no reason to doubt their timetable.

As with all Kickstarter campaigns though, there’s no guarantee that the Qimini Deuce will actually work out, or that the parties involved will be able to deliver the product in question – Ausdroid isn’t endorsing the campaign, just letting our readers know about it.
