We’ve been covering the HTC One (M9) (aka Hima) leaks for a while now, and it seems that recently it may all have been a deliberate attempt by HTC to throw people off the scent.
Rumours abound that HTC has actually taken a new design direction with the One (M9), and what you’re seeing above (albeit, not in the best quality) is a render of what the One (M9) might actually look like. Perhaps. What we’re seeing is a front facing camera that’s more prominent. What we’re not seeing is BoomSound speakers, though as these are just renders, the speakers could still conceivably be there — either side of the camera up top, and beside the HTC logo down low. Who knows?
This comes from renowned (retired?) leaker @evleaks, who released this image via his Twitter feed a little while ago:

Astute observers will notice there are actually two devices here; the one on the left is the HTC One (M9), whereas the taller unit on the right is rumoured to be the HTC One (M9) Plus, a taller unit which features what appears to be a home button. What’s it for? Rumour has it the main function is actually a fingerprint reader.
That’s what we can conclude from the render and from the limited info we have. When MWC 2015 comes around, we’ll get the latest straight from HTC’s press event and report whatever we find to you, as soon as we can.
