Moto X Force
The Motorola product train has chugged on from the recently released Moto X Play and Style, to the what seems to be a shatter proof Moto X Force. The phone has shown up in a drop test video from Motorola in what they’re deeming their ‘#ShortestPressAnnouncementEver’.

The phone was shown off by President of Motorola Mobility, Rick Osterloh in this video, which puts the Moto X Force up against the iPhone 6 (possibly the 6s) and the Galaxy S6 in a drop test. The phones are all dropped from about shoulder height on to what looks like stone pavers and suffer the inevitable fate, a cracked screen, all that is except the Moto X Force.

Motorola has also followed up with an infographic on phone breakage based on results of a survey of 6,000 adults in six countries.

Last we heard from the Moto X Force was back in September when Twitter leaker @upleaks sent out a tweet complete with picture – unfortunately the ever fickle @upleaks has again deleted his account.

Motorola updated their Droid Turbo earlier this week in the US, launching the Droid Turbo 2 with Moto ShatterShield shatterproof display, this Moto X Force could be the international model. The video lists availability for the Moto X Force in Latin America, EMEA and APAC starting in November so we could see this phone launched next month.

The rumours on specs for the Moto X Force also match up with the Droid Turbo 2 specs which launched with a 5.4″ QHD 2560×1440 resolution ‘shatterproof’ display, powered by an 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM and options for 32GB or 64GB of storage. The Moto X Force will apparently also have the same rear 21MP camera sensor as the current Moto X and Droid Turbo 2 models and a 5MP camera on the front. Moto X Force will apparently also be sporting the same specs when it comes to power with a massive 3,760mAh battery included.

We’ve reached out to Motorola Australia for more information on the Moto X Force and whether we’ll see it here down under.
