play store on chrome

While these Chromebooks are two not likely to be found in too many households in Australia, it’s worth noting that Google has rolled out Play Store support to two more Chromebooks. If you’re Daniel Tyson, or if you happen to have one of these, the Play Store is now yours — at least, if you use the ChromeOS developer channel.

ChromeOS version 53 includes support for the new Play Store feature, which allows you to use Android apps on Chrome. With the Asus Chromebook Flip (discussed last month), this now brings three promised devices with Play Store compatibility on ChromeOS.

While the roll-out has been slow, we look forward to further ChromeOS devices, including those more readily available here, being supported in the not too distant future.
