To say Samsung has had a rocky couple of months is a massive understatement. Since the Note 7 recall, there has been little to make Samsung fans happy but now there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon in the form of leaked Galaxy S8 specs.
The leak has come via our favourite Chinese leaking forum, Weibo, where the leaker posted a table comparing the Galaxy S8 specs against the Mi Note 2. Apparently coming with a dual curved edged display that is 5.5 inches in size which is average. What is not average about the display is the 4K resolution with a ppi of 806 which is certain to push the limits of the battery (size unknown at this stage). To power a resolution this big requires a powerful processor and Samsung have paired it with 2 variants, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 and an Exynos 8895 alongside 6GB and 8GB of RAM.
Samsung are well known for small bezels in recent years on their flagships and this will continue with the screen to body ratio being a very high 80% (compared to 71.22% for the Google Pixel XL and 76.09% in this years Galaxy S7 Edge).
The announcement is apparently going to be on February 26, right before Mobile World Congress begins with shipping of the device beginning in March.
Remember though that there is nothing in this to confirm that it is legit and as such take it with the usual grain of salt.
Are there any former Note 7 owners looking at waiting for this? Anyone considering upgrading to this?
