OVO has said that there has been unprecedented demand for the company’s prepaid mobile data plan, highlighting the fact that people want an alternative to NBN, its slow roll out and frustrating connection process.
Just recently the company announced plans for $100/Mo which gave 100gb of included data, more than enough for the average Australian household. It seems this was pretty popular.
So much so, in fact, that OVO has decided to drop the price of the 100GB prepaid mobile broadband plan to just $69.95 p/m. That’s a 30% saving right there, and at this price, the average household could forget about crappy ADSL connections, questionable NBN services and the associated confusion, and simply go wire free.
There’s good news for those who’ve already signed up, too. For OVO customers who have already bought the 100GB for $100, OVO will credit you with $30, keeping the company’s Fans First promise.
We’re waiting on a SIM card so we can try the service and give you some insight, but at this price, if your fixed line alternatives aren’t looking too good, this might be a great option to try out.
