With Google Home Mini about to go on-sale there’s been some shine taken off the other Google Assistant powered speakers announced around IFA earlier this year. The TicHome Mini however is splashproof adding some value to its specs and it’s about to go on-sale on October 17th.

People who signed up to the mailing list for the TicHome Mini are being advised that the speaker will go on-sale between October 17-20 with a discount up to 40% off the usual price and a bonus extended 2-year warranty. No price has been announced for the speaker beyond a ‘around $100USD’ estimate, but if you’re on the mailing list (you can sign up on their site) you too can get the discount and bonus warranty.

The TicHome Mini is a decent little speaker with a 6-hour battery life, it comes in 5 colours and has what Mobvoi call ‘Incredibly resonant sound for a speaker of its size and class’. The TicHome Mini also has an IPX6 rating which basically means it’s splashproof but you can’t submerge it.

The sale will be on-going on the Mobvoi website from the 17th of October but what time zone isn’t exactly clear. The Google Home Mini looks great, but the splash proof component makes this a very compelling option.
